STUMP REMOVAL

Stump removal properly completes the process of tree removal. Sometimes this service is requested long after the tree has been removed. That’s because the extra cost of stump removal causes homeowners to remove the tree and simply remove the stump at another time.

Stumps are normally cut fairly close to the ground. However, sometimes large tree stumps are left very tall due to the difficulty of cutting low, in this event you can transform the tree stump into a lawn decoration.

When grass is all that’s desired, then the stump only needs to be ground a few inches. If another tree is to be planted then the stump can be ground deeper. Grinding stumps allows for soil and seed promoting grass to grow, and eliminates the stump as a constant obstacle when mowing the yard.

WHY REMOVE A TREE STUMP?

  • Termites love wood that is on top of and inside the ground.
  • A stump must be removed if you want to plant, landscape, install or replace a fence, or perform construction in the same area.
  • The stump continues to grow (determined by sucker-growth) and so do the roots, which may be pushing up cement areas, house foundations, fences, etc.
  • A stump may be removed to allow drainage or because it is obstructing a waterway.
  • You simply may not like seeing the stump there.

Things to mention that may affect the estimate Environment

Steps, slope, waterlogged soil, windows, parked cars.

Safety

The grinder chips away at the stumps and surrounding soil and can eject wood and stone chips quite violently easily enough to break a window.
